As far as Fantasy Premier League goes, no one did better in terms of points returns than one Chelsea player last season.

Cole Palmer topped the standings with 244 points, more than the likes of Erling Haaland and Mo Salah.

By the end of the season, it seemed like anyone playing the game seriously had the Chelsea man in their team, with him seeming to contribute to a goal or an assist every single time he played.

Another reason almost everyone had him was the fact he started the game so cheap. Out of the £100m budget, only £5m was needed to have Palmer at the start of the game.

That will be no more though as the game have recognised his brilliance that saw him clean up at the awards night at Chelsea this year.

Cole Palmer given biggest price increase in FPL history

According to the official website and app, he will be starting the game at £10.5m, putting him amongst the top players in the game.

This has also seen the difference between his starting price in the last two games become a record for the distance between them, with that being £5.5m.

Chelsea fans playing the game will no doubt be looking to a number of Blues assets to try and get them some points this season.

Plenty of Chelsea options in FPL

They will be very aware that Nicolas Jackson’s strong form towards the end of the season saw him rack up a number of points.

A returning Reece James could definitely be a viable option too if he can remain fit. Everyone is more than aware of what he can do at both ends of the pitch.

The wildcard is undoubtedly Christopher Nkunku, who is available for a cheap fee in comparison to a number of other players available on the game.

While injuries ruined his campaign last season, there were certainly signs that when he was fit he could be a serious asset.
