Jamie O’Hara ripped into Chelsea’s Mykhailo Mudryk after his cameo performance in Sunday’s crushing loss versus Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Chelsea’s poor season went from bad to worse by losing 4-2 at home to Wolves earlier today.

The Blues have slipped to 11th in the Premier League and the bottom half of the table after the result.

For head coach Mauricio Pochettino, he’s somehow got to get this team playing with a Carabao Cup final against Liverpool looming at the end of the month.

Chelsea’s home form was solid going into the weekend, but it’s a sign of how low confidence is right now that they shipped four against Wolves.

Pundit Jamie O’Hara really wasn’t impressed by what he saw from Chelsea substitute Mykhailo Mudryk against Wolves.

The 23-year-old Blues winger was destroyed for some really poor work on the ball.

Speaking on Sky Sports’ News channel (3:40pm, 4 February), O’Hara said: “Mudryk, honestly, it’s like this guy doesn’t know how to play football. I know he’s got pace. He really struggles to play a simple pass. He’s come on, been on 5/10 minutes, he’s give the ball away four times. It’s unbelievable really.”

Mykhailo Mudryk against Wolves

Mudryk got the final 20 minutes on Sunday against Wolves, plus 10 minutes of additional time.

The Chelsea attacker did assist a consolation goal from Thiago Silva with a corner kick, but it’s easy to see why he does come under the spotlight for criticism because he can be really sloppy.

Aside from Cole Palmer, who scored his 12th Chelsea goal today, there’s no other Blues forwards really putting their hands up and demanding a permanent spot in the starting line-up.

The Athletic recorded at the start of the week that Chelsea’s Mudryk loses possession of the ball more often than any other Premier League winger this season. He certainly didn’t help his case today!

Like so many of this young Blues squad, Mudryk is still extremely raw when you watch him play and is miles off the finished article.
