Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has hailed the brilliance of one Chelsea player ahead of tomorrow’s game.
Man City welcome Chelsea to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening in the Premier League.
Cole Palmer, who’s played for both clubs, has now received some big praise from his former manager.
The 21-year-old attacker was developed in Man City’s academy before a first-team breakthrough with them in recent years. He’ll always have Pep Guardiola to thank for giving him his senior debut in club football.
However, the left-footed playmaker found a new home when Chelsea signed him from Man City last summer.
He’s made a sensational start to his Blues career so far, scoring 12 goals and making nine assists in 28 appearances.
We’re now looking at him as one of the nailed-on starters for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Guardiola has given Palmer a special mention in Friday’s pre-match press conference before Man City against Chelsea.
“Cole Palmer is an exceptional player and a lovely lad and of course I wish him well at Chelsea,” Guardiola said, as quoted by Ian Cheeseman’s X account.
Pep Guardiola hails Cole Palmer
You’re quite some player if a coach like Guardiola speaks so glowingly about you.
Our guess is there’s elements of regret that Man City sold the English star to Chelsea at the start of the season. On the flip side, they still have a formidable squad hunting loads more silverware this year.
Palmer came back to haunt his old club with a stoppage time penalty in last November’s 4-4 draw at Stamford Bridge. Can he produce more magic on his return to the Etihad this weekend?
Speaking via talkSPORT recently, Gabby Agbonlahor claimed he still doesn’t think this version of Palmer would break into Man City’s side. His move to Chelsea really has been brilliant for his development and career.
