The 29-year-old is due to report for pre-season training with Spurs on Wednesday.

New manager Ange Postecoglu is planning face-to-face talks with the Tottenham talisman to share his vision for the club.

The Bundesliga champions had already failed with an opening offer of £60million plus add-ons for the 29-year-old.

And the German giants have returned with an improved offer to sign the England captain, but that again will be rejected.

Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel has made it his priority to bolster the club’s attack this summer.

They are still yet to replace Robert Lewandowski, who swapped the Allianz Arena for Barcelona last year.

However, Spurs chief Levy is adamant that he will not allow Kane to depart north London this summer.

Kane has only one year left on his contract, with it remaining to be seen whether he will agree to pen fresh terms.

Spurs are still hoping to convince him to stay, but with no European football on offer this season, they could have a hard time in persuading him to commit his long-term future.

Kane’s former mentor Mauricio Pochettino – now Chelsea manager – recently hailed the England captain as ‘one of the greatest’ players in the world.

Quizzed on a potential reunion with the centre-forward at Stamford Bridge, the 51-year-old said: “I don’t like to talk about players in another club.

“But you are talking about one of the greatest, one of the best strikers in the world.

“It’s not fair to talk, it’s not fair to say nothing. People are not stupid, fans are not stupid, they are so clever and they know my relationship with him was always amazing.

“I saw him when he was young, grow up and achieve all he was achieving and of course we have a great relationship.”
