Chelsea have had some very successful managers in recent years.

Thomas Tuchel is the latest, with the German winning Chelsea the Champions League in 2021, while Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho have also had good spells at Stamford Bridge.

In fact, Mourinho has had two. Despite his last one ending in ugly fashion, the Portuguese still managed to claim the Premier League title and League Cup during his second stint in charge of the Blues.

Similarly, Conte won both the title and FA Cup before his dismissal in 2018.

All three managers will be available this summer, with Tuchel leaving Bayern Munich at the end of the season. Conte and Mourinho are both currently unemployed.

Simon Jordan makes big claim about former Chelsea manager

For all of their success, it is not always a smooth ride with Tuchel, Conte and Mourinho.

All three of them have been sacked by Chelsea in the past. Tuchel was even dismissed by Paris Saint-Germain before he went on to join the Blues.

Describing the German as a manager who “divides”, former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan does not think some of the top clubs in the world would go near him.

Discussing Tuchel on talkSPORT, Jordan said: “I don’t think there’s ever a parallel universe where Liverpool would take Thomas Tuchel as their manager, absolutely not.

“I don’t think Manchester United would take him, I don’t think Manchester City would take him, I don’t think Arsenal would take him, I don’t think Real Madrid would take him because I think they look at the reality of what Tuchel can and can’t be. I think he divides. I think he doesn’t create unity.”

Would Chelsea go anywhere near Thomas Tuchel?

Having sacked him last season, that seems unlikely. However, if the club decide to get rid of Pochettino, then Tuchel really should be an option for them.

Chelsea have only headed in one direction since his departure. It really would be interesting to see where they would be if the former Borussia Dortmund manager was not sacked.

He was the man who won them their second Champions League trophy and the team were in sixth when he left. They would kill to be there now.
