Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is coming under increasing pressure at Stamford Bridge following his side’s loss to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea want better results from Mauricio Pochettino, who currently has the Blues sitting in 11th place in the Premier League.

The Argentine now looks in danger of getting the sack and if he does, it appears that Brazilian forward Anderson Talisca would not mind seeing Sporting Lisbon boss Ruben Amorim in the Stamford Bridge dugout. In fact, the Al-Nassr star has told Record that the 39-year-old should already be at a club like Chelsea.

Talisca played alongside Amorim at Benfica before the Portuguese moved into coaching.

It has been reported that Chelsea have a long-standing interest in the Sporting manager.

Anderson Talisca endorses Ruben Amorim to Chelsea

Talisca is backing Amorim to have a fantastic managerial career and thinks he is ready to manage a side like Chelsea or Arsenal.

“I think it’s time for him to coach a club of another dimension, an Arsenal, a Chelsea — in fact, he should already be there,” the former Benfica man said.

“His career is going to be fantastic. He just needs to keep doing what he’s doing!”

Ruben Amorim Mauricio Pochettino’s likely replacement

If Chelsea do decide to part ways with Pochettino before the start of next season, Amorim is the man you can see succeeding the former Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham Hotspur boss.

There have been links with Bayer Leverkusen’s Xabi Alonso, but you would imagine that he would prefer a move to his former club Liverpool.

Amorim is also someone who Chelsea have reportedly considered in the past. According to The Guardian, they actually held talks with him last year after dismissing Graham Potter.

We are not at the point where the Blues need a new manager yet, though, and for the sake of having some stability, hopefully Pochettino can turn things around.
