Chelsea would be making a huge mistake if they allow Conor Gallagher to exit Stamford Bridge in the summer.
That is according to talkSPORT pundit Alan Brazil.
Conor Gallagher, 24, has been a regular starter and key player for Chelsea during this season.
The box-to-box midfielder actually has three goals in his last two Blues appearances as he hits a purple patch of form in front of goal.
We’re convinced he’ll be in the starting line-up when Chelsea face Liverpool next week in the League Cup final, too.
However, the England international is still linked in the transfer rumour mill with a possible move away from Stamford Bridge.
The Athletic claimed earlier in February that Gallagher seems likely to leave Chelsea in the summer window unless there’s a big turnaround. As it stands, his contract expires at the end of next season and there’s no progress during negotiations.

In addition, The Telegraph reported this week that London rivals Tottenham are planning their move sign Gallagher this summer if he’s still not agreed a contract extension with Chelsea.
As for The Daily Mail, they say that Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino has been working on convincing the club to sort out Gallagher’s future and keep him.
Chelsea would regret selling Conor Gallagher
TalkSPORT pundit Alan Brazil can’t believe he’s heard recent talk about Gallagher leaving Chelsea. He insists the Blues simply must keep him!
“What about Conor Gallagher, I don’t get it why Chelsea want to let him go. He is linked with Spurs now,” Brazil told talkSPORT (8:10am, 14 February).
“They can’t let him go, can they?! When you are trying to galvanise your team spirit, then he is perfect.”
We agree that losing the 24-year-old midfielder, particularly to a close rival, would be a horrible way to start the summer.
There’s a lot to gain from selling academy graduates in terms of pure profit on your club’s balance sheet, but we think you’d be losing too much with Gallagher right now.
