Lisandro Martinez revealed that he’s ‘100 per cent’ back to fitness following injury.
The Manchester United defender missed the end of the campaign after suffering a metatarsal injury in April.
This came during the Europa League quarter-final against Sevilla, bringing an end to his debut season with the club.
With the focus swiftly turning to the new season, Martinez shared a video through Man United’s media channels which showed him running comfortably on the affected foot.
Taking to social media, he wrote: “So happy to be back 100%.”
Man United also tweeted the video of his return to training, writing: “Every day is a step closer to return,” with a strong arm emoji.
For Martinez the hope is to be fighting fit for the new season.
After joining from Ajax for £56.7million last summer, the Argentine defender made a slow start with the Red Devils suffering heavy defeats to Brighton and Bournemouth early on.
Martinez then went on to make 45 appearances for the Red Devils, helping them to Carabao Cup success, a top four finish and a spot in the FA Cup final.
