Manchester United are not open to offers for Bruno Fernandes this summer, talkSPORT understands.

The Portugal midfielder has reportedly rejected multiple offers to leave Old Trafford and seal a move to Saudi Arabia this summer.

It’s said Fernandes has no plans to depart the Red Devils, with the 28-year-old expected to be named the club’s new captain, replacing Harry Maguire.

But it’s believed Man United would not consider any offer for their star playmaker, either.

Transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano claims that the player rejected more than two approaches from Saudi Arabia last month.

The Saudi Pro League has attracted a number of top players since Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in December.

Ronaldo’s former Real Madrid teammate, Karim Benzema, signed for champions Al Ittihad as has former Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante.

Ex-Liverpool star Roberto Firmino joined Al Ahli on a free transfer, while Reds duo Jordan Henderson and Fabinho have been heavily linked with moves to the league too.

Fernandes joined Man United from Sporting Lisbon in January 2020, making an immediate impact having won the Premier League Player of the Month award four times in the same year. He’s won the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award at Man United twice.

He helped Man United to Carabao Cup success and qualification back into the Champions League last season.

Fernandes could feature in Man United’s pre-season clash against Lyon on Wednesday, kick-off 2pm.

Mason Mount is Man United’s only confirmed signing of the summer although they are closing in on Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana.
