Moises Caicedo next club odds: Liverpool cut to 5/1 to swoop in on Chelsea target

Moises Caicedo has long been linked with a transfer away from Brighton as midfielder eyes Premier League switch.

Chelsea have been clear odds-on favourites at 1/6 for a large portion of the summer transfer window already, according to talkSPORT BET, but Liverpool’s odds have also been heavily slashed.

Caicedo was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in the January transfer and after publicly revealing his desire to leave the club was even banned from training.

But he quickly re-established himself in the Brighton side and remains a sought after target in his second season in the English top-flight.

Premier League betting suggests next season is now leaning solely towards the Blues to get the signature ahead of Arsenal.

In the 2021/22 season Caicedo made a total of eight appearances but has made as many as 35 in the latest season, impressing numerous clubs, especially those in London as he became a crucial part of Brighton’s starting XI.

Chelsea spent big this year and Caicedo’s price tag rising would have been an issue had they not already cashed in on numerous players departing to Saudi Arabia as they trim the excess of their large squad.

But with numerous departures from Stamford Bridge already the room is being made which could see this transfer saga come to an end soon.

Liverpool could be looking at a fair few signings this summer to bolster their squad after a dramatic season, and their odds of signing Caicedo have been slashed from 33/1 to 5/1.

The Reds have already let a large number of their midfielders leave this summer and there are still rumours that more will follow them out of the Anfield exit door.

Manchester United had been linked with a move for the Ecuadorian but their odds have drifted from 5/1 to 12/1 in recent weeks.

Arsenal had been heavily rumoured to sign the Brighton man in January this year but have this summer splashed more than £100m on Declan Rice, so their need for another expensive central midfielder is over.

The Gunners had been priced at 5/1 before signing the West Ham captain, but their odds of signing Caicedo have now dropped to 12/1.

Although a move across to a league rival, there are options for the Ecuadorian to head into the Bundesliga, Ligue 1, La Liga and Serie A, with Champions League runs always important.
