Chelsea have not found it difficult to bring in significant amounts of money this summer off the back of selling players.

The likes of Ian Maatsen and Omari Hutchinson have moved on for significant transfer fees, after their pathways to regular minutes at Stamford Bridge looked difficult to see.

New manager Enzo Maresca has now completed his first week of pre-season training with the club, with him seen in deep conversation with club captain Reece James during that time.

It feels as if the Italian will get a look at pretty much everyone who is part of the first team right now before a decision is made on if they will be sold or not.

However, one player who feels as if his future is by no means secure is Conor Gallagher, who has not yet begun life under Maresca due to his participation in the European Championships.

Chelsea ready for Conor Gallagher offers

He was an absolutely crucial member of the squad under Mauricio Pochettino. The Argentine described him as ‘priceless’ following a string of strong performances under him last season.

However, there has been no news at this stage of a new contract being offered to him. His current deal expires next summer.

According to The Athletic, the Blues are preparing for a number of Premier League sides to make their move in an attempt to sign the England midfielder.

Tottenham interested in Gallagher

The report goes on to say that Tottenham are one of the sides Chelsea are thinking could look to bring him in.

There is going to be plenty of competition for places in the middle of the park next season behind expected starters Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo.

The addition of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is one that certainly excited current Blue Wesley Fofana when it was announced, and the fact he has experience working with Maresca could bode well in his pursuit of regular minutes next season.
