Reports have claimed that Chelsea are considering trying again when it comes to one potential new signing.

Business is beginning to pick up for the Blues as they approach pre-season, and their start to life under new manager Enzo Maresca.

A striker has seemed to be high on the agenda for Chelsea, with it already being claimed that the new boss is not keen on going into the new season with just Nicolas Jackson available as an option to play up top.

This hints that Armando Broja is still very much expected to leave the club, with him now ready to return after being eliminated from Euro 2024 with Albania.

One player who they have previously been linked with bringing in is Samu Omorodion from Atletico Madrid.

Chelsea may bid again for Samu Omorodion

Following a promising loan spell last season, there is a lot of excitement surrounding the youngster, who has been described as ‘imposing’.

The Blues have reportedly already had a bid rejected for his services, however according to The Athletic they are weighing up returning to the scene.

The story goes on to say though that they are conscious of the fee the Spanish side are holding out for, with them not deeming him worth what they are holding out for.

Enzo Maresca keen on Marc Guiu

It has been claimed that they are set to raid another La Liga side, this time Barcelona, for a new striker.

Marc Guiu has emerged as available for a cut-price fee, and it has been claimed that the Blues have overtaken a number of other elite sides for a deal.

With reports stating that new manager Enzo Maresca is leading the club’s efforts to bring in the youngster, and showing backing to the Italian would perhaps be a wise move after they have decided to back him with a long-term contract.
