Reports have claimed that Chelsea are set to earn a substantial amount of money if one of their loanees does not start his next game.

According to the Daily Mail, the Blues are going to receive a payment from Fulham if loanee Armando Broja doesn’t start his next game for the club.

Broja was the big mover out of Chelsea in January as a quiet transfer window finally had some action in the final hours.

It was believed the Blues were hoping for a permanent fee for the striker, however their attention quickly switched to getting the best package possible by loaning him out.

The idea of the move across West London is likely two things. Get the young forward into a great run of form with regular appearances, so they can make the choice to either sell him or bed him in next season.

Unfortunately though, he has found any sort of minutes difficult to come by at Craven Cottage, and only picked up his first goal involvement at all at the weekend in their loss to Wolves.

There was a reported clause in his contract that saw him have to play a certain amount of minutes for his loan club, or the Blues would receive a fee.

It has now been claimed that this has worked out as having to start every single game from now for Fulham to avoid it.

Perhaps even more annoyingly for Broja, another loanee in the same position as him is currently outshining him at a far poorer team.

David Datro Fofana scored a stunning goal at the weekend for Burnley, making it a very impressive three goals and an assist already for them.

Chelsea supporters will actually be glad that he is not available to face his parent club when the Blues welcome Burnley to Stamford Bridge in their next Premier League game.
