One Premier League club look ready to frustrate Chelsea this summer.

Chelsea will be pleased with how their transfer window is going so far.

It is only the beginning of July, yet the Blues have already made quite a few signings. That includes Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who joined the club from Leicester City on Tuesday.

As well as Dewsbury-Hall, Chelsea have also signed Marc Guiu, Omari Kellyman and Tosin Adarabioyo.

There is a deal in place for Palmeiras winger Estevao Willian to join the club next year, too.

It has been claimed that the Blues have an interest in Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon.

However, it looks like the Magpies are eager for him to remain at St James’ Park.

According to talkSPORT, Newcastle are ready to hand Gordon a new contract in a bid to fend off interest from rival clubs.

He was a key player for them last season, scoring 11 goals and providing 10 assists in 35 top-flight appearances.

Why it will be difficult for Chelsea to sign Anthony Gordon from Newcastle this summer

Newcastle potentially offering Gordon a new contract is not the only thing Chelsea have to worry about.

A couple of their Premier League rivals also appear to be keen on the 23-year-old.

In fact, according to CaughtOffside, it is Liverpool who are showing the most interest in Gordon right now.

The same outlet also claims that Manchester United want the England international as well and that he could cost £75m, making this a difficult deal for Chelsea to do.

With Mykhailo Mudryk and Raheem Sterling both still at the club, too, you cannot see Chelsea making Gordon a priority target at £75m either. That could change, though, if Enzo Maresca decides to get rid of one of the two this summer.
