Reports have claimed that incoming Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca does not see eye-to-eye on who the club should sign with owner Todd Boehly.

Everyone is awaiting the official announcement of the Italian replacing Mauricio Pochettino as the boss at Stamford Bridge.

A lot of attention has turned to who may follow Maresca to West London as far as players are concerned, with it being expected that the club will again be busy this summer.

It remains to be seen how much say the new boss has over transfers this summer, with it being thought that Pochettino’s desire to have a say in things being part of why he was let go from his role.

Based on Maresca’s comments when he was in charge of Leicester City, it feels as if it is not something that concerns him too much, and why he may well have been the perfect candidate for the ownership at Chelsea.

However, it has now been reported that there is one player who Boehly really wants that the new boss is not keen on.

Maresca doesn’t want Victor Osimhen

According to Gazzetta, he is not keen on the addition of Victor Osimhen, who has been reported for many months now as a key target to bring in up top.

However, it was claimed late last week that the financial aspect of the deal is something that is putting the Blues off, and instead they would be looking elsewhere if they are to strengthen in that role.

This is despite him being named in the past as the American’s number one target for a signing this summer.

Chelsea looking at Benjamin Sesko

Benjamin Sesko is a name who continues to crop up as an option, after he finished the season in fine form over at RB Leipzig.

As well as him, it was claimed today that Maresca would be keen on the club bringing in James McAtee from Manchester City, after his loan spell at Sheffield United last season.
