Reports have claimed that Raheem Sterling is still very sure in his mind where he wants his future to be.

According to the Evening Standard, he is believed to still want to fight and stay at Chelsea, and convince supporters to get onside.

Sterling had an afternoon to forget at Stamford Bridge yesterday despite the fact the Blues booked their place in the semi-finals of the FA Cup, and another date at Wembley in the coming weeks.

He pulled rank over first choice penalty taker Cole Palmer in the first half, only to see a tame effort saved by the legs of the goalkeeper.

His afternoon continued to get worse as he missed a one-on-one after being played through by Moises Caicedo later in the first half.

All of this was compiled by arguably the worst free-kick struck anywhere in the country this weekend from the edge of the box, much to the home fans’ frustration.

Supporters were quick to turn on the experienced star, and loudly booed when Mauricio Pochettino brought off Mykhailo Mudryk with his first substitution rather than Sterling.

While there was still applause when he was finally replaced for Noni Madueke, there is no doubt Stamford Bridge have made their mind up on him right now.

Despite that, it has still been claimed that he is prepared to stay and fight for his place in the side at the end of this season.

Reports have stated that there are some at the club who would definitely be keen to facilitate a deal to see him leave in the upcoming transfer window.

This is despite that not exactly being in line with what the manager wants to happen, with him reportedly wanting him to stay at the club as an experienced player in a sea of youth and potential.
