One Premier League club is pretty confident that they’ll complete the signing of a £22m-rated Chelsea player this summer.

The transfer speculation around Chelsea sales is really beginning to ramp up in this window.

For example, Gianluca Di Marzio reports that AC Milan have scheduled a meeting with the entourage of Blues striker Romelu Lukaku. GiveMeSport claims that Lukaku is on West Ham’s radar, too.

Elsewhere, there’s increasing rumours about what will happen with the future of Chelsea’s Omari Hutchinson.

Ipswich confident of signing Omari Hutchinson

Football.London claims that Ipswich Town have now submitted a bid worth £22m to sign Chelsea’s Hutchinson.

It is understood that the two Premier League clubs are in talks about the 20-year-old’s potential transfer to Portman Road, which is where he spent last season on loan.

The report claims that Ipswich are confident of striking a deal with the Chelsea winger as they discuss personal terms over a long-term contract.

Chelsea exit will be majorly disappointing

Hutchinson was excellent for Ipswich last season, which is why it’s no surprise they want him back as they brace themselves for their challenge of the Premier League. The right-winger scored 11 goals and made six assists across all competitions during his Ipswich loan.

The skillful youngster has played just two first-team games in Chelsea colours. Unfortunately, it looks like they’ll be his last as well.

It would have been great see the attacker get the opportunity in Chelsea’s senior squad next season. If not, it makes a bit of a mockery of the loan system if there’s no genuine route to the first team.

One thing the Blues do deserve credit for is their ability to sell players for high values.

For Ipswich, Hutchinson is a gamble at £22m despite his success there in the Championship.
