Journalist Nizaar Kinsella has shared what chants were coming from the away end at Villa Park before kick-off tonight.

He took to Twitter to state that the Chelsea fans in the stadium were keen to make their affection known for Thiago Silva as he prepared for a game on the bench.

Chelsea are currently facing the tough task of an FA Cup 5th Round replay against Aston Villa, however things got off to the perfect start in the first half.

The Blues found themselves 2-0 up thanks to goals from Conor Gallagher and Nicolas Jackson, putting them in a commanding position.

The pressure could be about to ease slightly on Mauricio Pochettino, who has certainly had a rough week as far as management goes.

One of the big decisions that the boss made before the game was in defence, making one change to the one that was embarrassed at the hands of Wolves.

Thiago Silva was the man who dropped out, with him being replaced from the starting lineup by Benoit Badiashile.

It seems the travelling contingent of Chelsea fans were not too happy with this decision. Kinsella has claimed they made their feelings heard before the game started.

He said: “Chants of “oooooh Thiago Silva” are coming from the away end at Villa Park.”

It remains to be seen if Chelsea can hold onto this lead in the second half.
