Chelsea managed to beat Newcastle United 3-2 in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge last night.
It was a game that saw Tino Livramento start against his former club, with the right-back finishing the match on the losing side.
Nevertheless, Livramento is still a quality full-back. And according to one recent report from The Athletic, one recruitment official at another Premier League club was stunned by some of his performances for Chelsea‘s U18s and U21s back in the 2020/21 season.
He described his displays as a “joke”, clearly impressed with what he saw from the 21-year-old.
Livramento left Chelsea for Southampton in 2021 before his move to Newcastle. It has been claimed that Thomas Tuchel was a big factor in his decision to leave the Blues.
Livramento seems to have a lot of admirers, and it is not hard to see why.
The Newcastle man can play at right-back and left-back and can be quite a handful when he gets in his stride and starts running with the ball.

With all of the injuries Chelsea have had in both full-back positions this season, Livramento would have been a useful player to have around.
The Blues at least have Malo Gusto now, who has done a good job covering for Reece James. Gary Neville thinks he absolutely dominated Livramento’s Newcastle team-mate Anthony Gordon last night.
For some, though, Livramento is always going to be viewed as one that got away. And it does not help that James and Ben Chilwell keep picking up injuries, while central defender Levi Colwill has spent most of the campaign at left-back.
But Chelsea survived after selling the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and Mohamed Salah. They can cope without Livramento.
