Chelsea really like one manager in the German Bundesliga because of his tactics, which is why he’s one of the people being considered to replace Mauricio Pochettino at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are now on the search for yet another new head coach following the departure of Mauricio Pochettino on Tuesday.

It was confirmed just two days after the final day of the Premier League season that Pochettino has exited the club by mutual consent.

This Blues ownership has already parted ways with Pochettino, Graham Potter and Thomas Tuchel as permanent managers in such a short space of time.

So, who’s next to take on the position in the Chelsea dugout?

Chelsea huge admires of Bundesliga manager

Football.London claims that Stuttgart boss Sebastian Hoeness is among the list of managers considered by Chelsea to fill their vacant position.

It is understood that some at Chelsea are ‘big fans’ of the style of play that Hoeness has implemented at Stuttgart. As a result, it led them to finish second in the German top division this season and above third-placed giants Bayern Munich.

The report adds that Hoeness has been compared to Hansi Flick as a coach. The Stuttgart manager likes his sides to counter-press and play with an extremely high backline.

What Sebastian Hoeness has achieved in Germany this season

If it weren’t for Bayer Leverkusen going unbeaten en route to winning the Bundesliga this campaign, Stuttgart would be the main talking point in German football right now.

Hoeness, 42, has worked wonders in his first full season as Stuttgart manager, clinching runners-up in the league to qualify for the Champions League.

The young German manager oversaw his side score 78 goals in the 34-league game season. They conceded just 39 goals, too.

His preferred 4-2-3-1 formation certainly lends itself to Chelsea amid Stamford Bridge links, but he did tweak his system for certain opposition teams this year.

Former Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge described Hoeness as “fantastic” for what he’s achieved with Stuttgart (Bundesliga website).

So, could we see him managing in England for the first time soon? It’s worth adding Hoeness is under contract at Stuttgart until 2027, though.
