Pundit Ally McCoist has now said he is really not a fan of one move Chelsea might make when this season comes to an end.
He told TalkSPORT that he struggles to believe that it is right for the club to not keep Conor Gallagher when the transfer window opens again.
Gallagher has been a near ever-present this season since Mauricio Pochettino took over at the beginning of the campaign.
The midfielder has begun to repay the faith his manager has in him in recent. Three big goals in the last two weeks have seen plenty of attention come his way.
He caught the eye of many on Monday night in particular, where his brace helped Chelsea complete a dramatic turnaround victory against Crystal Palace.
Despite this proving his importance to the club more than ever, it has still not put an end to talk that he could be sold at the end of the campaign.
McCoist can’t believe Gallagher reports
Tottenham have since that game been linked with a move for the England international if there is no movement on his current contract before the end of the campaign.

McCoist can’t get his head around the fact that they are even considering doing the deal.
He said: “Of course it is. It’s shocking. I get FFP and the restrictions and all clubs have to abide by it and adhere to it but there must be something wrong when there is an incentive when it’s far more financially beneficial for you to sell a homegrown player than anybody else to balance the books.
“That can’t be right. It sends out a really poor message, I don’t like it at all.”
It feels like Chelsea should be able to get enough money for deals for outcasts such as Ian Maatsen, Armando Broja and Trevoh Chalobah to spend without having to sell Gallagher.
