Chris Sutton has made his score prediction ahead of Chelsea against Wolves on Sunday afternoon.

Chelsea host Wolves tomorrow at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League, which looks like a very tight game on paper.

Wolves won the reverse fixture 2-1 against the Blues back in December.

As it stands, Chelsea sit 10th in the league table and two points above 11th-placed Wolves.

Both teams go into Sunday’s match fresh off midweek defeats in the league, losing to Liverpool and Manchester United respectively.

BBC pundit Chris Sutton really wasn’t impressed by what he saw from Chelsea when they lost 4-1 away to Liverpool earlier this week.

He’s tipped a 1-1 draw for Mauricio Pochettino’s side versus Wolvess.

“Chelsea simply have to respond after their defeat by Liverpool on Wednesday. I was at Anfield for BBC Radio 5 Live and they were so poor and a long way off Jurgen Klopp’s side,” Sutton told BBC Sport.

“With the money Chelsea have spent, they need to have a much better return than that and I think qualifying for Europe in some shape or form is probably their target from here.

“Mauricio Pochettino needs to deliver that, I think, but I am still not sure about them and whether they are up to it.

“I base these predictions on what I see, and I was painting a positive picture about Chelsea after the little run they went on before the Liverpool game. But Anfield was a reminder of where they are at and, as well as their defensive issues, they are not a free-scoring, nor free-flowing side.

“Wolves lost to Manchester United on Thursday to end their unbeaten run but we know they will be well organised and carry a threat – whereas Chelsea are still a bitty team, and we don’t know what we will get from them from one week to the next.

“Sutton’s prediction: 1-1.”

Chelsea vs Wolves

Wolves go into tomorrow’s fixture on a two-game winning streak against Chelsea, so can they beat them three times in a row for the first time since 1975?

One positive for the Blues is that they’ve started to make Stamford Bridge a bit of a fortress and like playing at home. In fact, they’ve not lost in front of their home fans since the end of October against Brentford.

The Chelsea Chronicle has predicted the starting line-up that Pochettino may pick against Wolves.
