Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has now sent a message to supporters over who they should direct their anger at in the midst of their poor form and results.
He told the Evening Standard that the fans should direct their anger and discontent at him rather than the players on the pitch at this stage.
Supporters were not happy with what they saw at Brentford on Saturday, despite the Blues scoring late to rescue a draw.
Chants in the away end were critical of Pochettino, as well as current owner Todd Boehly, who tends to get the brunt of the hate.
Fans in general have been relatively patient with their players, taking into account it is a combination of plenty of young and inexperienced players.
One of the best examples of this has been with Moises Caicedo, who is now beginning to repay the faith with a string of impressive performances.

He said: “Yes, and if they want to listen, perfect. If not, what can I do? They’ll keep booing. I’m giving my best to this team.
“But we cannot blame the fans. My message is: Okay, they need to show their frustration – through who? I prefer to me rather than to the team. I prefer that, I am strong. I am sure that in time we will change the perception.
“I don’t want the fans trying to blame the players. Players need to feel backed by the fans and, to be honest, I prefer that I get the blame and let the players be free on the pitch. I don’t care. I am strong, I am 52 now.
“The players deserve credit and support from our fans. If someone needs to get the blame, that is no problem. That is why I am the coach.”
It remains to be seen if Pochettino is the man to take Chelsea into the future with this project. In fact, there is no guarantee he even sees out this season.
Reports have begun to state that the board are currently in disagreement over what is best to do with the manager, with some believing his time should be up at Stamford Bridge.
