Chelsea have now seen two of their players named in the FA Cup team of the round for the quarter-finals.

However, WhoScored’s team does not include Cole Palmer, despite his brilliant performance at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Chelsea booked their place back at Wembley with a thrilling 4-2 win over Championship leaders Leicester City.

Palmer stars against Leicester

The game saw Palmer at his brilliant best, finding the net to double the lead in the first half.

When it looked as if the game was heading to extra time, the summer signing stepped up with a fantastic assist for substitute Carney Chukwuemeka to score just his second goal for the club.

It was another example as far as Chelsea fans are concerned of wondering just where they’d be this season if they hadn’t made the deadline day move to sign the Manchester City man.

Gusto and Jackson named in team of the round

It is fair to say he was not the only top performer as far as the Blues go during their clash at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Malo Gusto was awarded the official player of the match trophy for his brilliant performance at both ends of the pitch.

The Frenchman has become arguably one of the most important players for the club this season, in what has been a fantastic effort since replacing Reece James in the side.

He was one of the two Blues who actually saw his place in the team of the round.

The other was an attacker who didn’t even score, however enjoyed a strong performance playing across the front line.

Nicolas Jackson’s hard work helped set up Marc Cucurella for his first Chelsea goal, whilst he also managed to get the opponents down to 10 men with some great solo work.

The Senegal international has also continued to prove that the side play a lot better when he is part of the attack.
