A video has emerged showing what Chelsea star Romeo Lavia did just moments after the club’s loss against Liverpool at Wembley yesterday.

The big summer signing was again not in the squad yesterday, after his horrific run of injury luck has continued into the second half of the season.

Chelsea fans have seen less than 90 minutes of one of their summer signings this season, and ultimately have not heard too much at times about his condition.

It had been reported that the club had actually been hiding the extent of the injury up to now, with him still some way away from being involved again.

He will have been gutted that he was not able to feature in any capacity in the biggest game of the season for the Blues at Wembley.

He was powerlessly watching from the side as Virgil van Dijk headed the only goal of the game just minutes from the end of extra-time.

What Lavia did at full-time

The youngster was one of the first Chelsea members of staff to enter the pitch as their opponents were celebrating to try and console some of those who had just been defeated.

A video on the Twitter page of BarLFC shows him approaching a crestfallen Moises Caicedo to try and console him.

Caicedo was easily one of Chelsea’s best performing players in the final, however this was not recognised by those providing punditry on the game.

Against the team he so nearly joined as well as Lavia last summer, the Ecuador international was the best midfielder on the pitch for either side, and put in a performance that deserved to be on the winning side.

It remains to be seen if he will get the opportunity to partner Lavia again anytime soon, with their depth in midfield currently looking short to say the least.
