Bachelorette Clare Crawley reveals her wedding dress was stolen while she was on vacation with fiancé Ryan Dawkins in Hawaii
Clare Crawley has her something borrowed and something blue for her upcoming nuptials, but the something new isn’t what the bride-to-be had planned, as she had to quickly find a new wedding dress.
She recently revealed that her original wedding dress had been stolen while the reality star, 41, and her fiancé Ryan Dawkins, 45, were enjoying a vacation in Hawaii.
The couple met in 2021, but kept their relationship under wraps until September 2022, one month before the Mascot Sports CEO proposed.
The former Bachelorette star shared the sad news in a video on Instagram stories as she cut up fruit while sharing a ski trip with her beau and his two daughters.

The reality star shared a photo of a handkerchief she had received as a gift with ‘Happy Tears’ embroidered in blue along with the diamond earrings she borrowed for the ceremony, writing ‘…something borrowed. Something blue’ next to the photo.
She then shared the unhappy news that the dress she had chosen for her big day had been burgled.
‘I know I always share this, but I am deeply, deeply in the belief that everything is supposed to happen how it’s supposed to happen, regardless of if it looks good or it looks bad or it’s what I want or not what I want. I trust to the depths of my soul that everything is for a reason. And we might not know what that reason looks like right now but it works out. So let me tell you what happened,’ the the former Bachelor contestant revealed in a long video on her Instagram Story Saturday.

Happy tears: The reality star shared the sad story while revealing a gift she had received for her something blue, and the diamond earrings she had borrowed for the big day
‘When Ryan and I got back from Hawaii at the beginning of this week, my car had been broken into while we were gone, ‘ she explained. ‘And guess what was in the car? Keep in mind my wedding is very soon. My wedding dress was in my car! It was in there because I was supposed to take it to get its last alteration and I wanted to remind myself not to forget it.’
With the wedding coming up soon, the hair dresser said she needed to focus on what was really important.
‘I thought, “It’s OK. It’s about the moment and what we’re celebrating. I can wear anything, and I’ll be happy that we’re there.”‘
Engagement: The couple got engaged in October 2022, one month after going public with their relationship
When Clare went to the bridal shop to pick up her veil, she told the owner what had happened and the two were able to quickly find a new dress, which was, apparently, meant to be.
‘Turns out, that was the wedding dress that was on my Pinterest board three years ago. It’s the dress of my dreams!’ Crawley said with tears in her eyes.
‘It’s the most beautiful dress and it’s better than I could have imagined. So, [I’m] still crying happy tears but everything works out how it’s supposed to work out — and sometimes even better. Even in the moment where it looks like something not good, I think it turns out better. It turns out how it’s supposed to turn out.’
Happy ending: When Clare shared the sad news with the bridal shop owner, they found a replacement and it turned out ‘that was the wedding dress that was on my Pinterest board three years ago. It’s the dress of my dreams!’ (Pictured in Los Angeles in August 2015)
