Bradley Cooper inks podcast deal with iHeartPodcasts to bring ‘real people telling real stories that inspire and motivate’ to listeners

Bradley Cooper is taking his talents to the world of podcasts in a new deal with iHeartPodcasts, the podcast division of iHeartMedia.

The deal was done through his production company, Lea Pictures, and is a multiyear deal to bring ‘real people telling real stories’ to audiences.

The Alias alum – who recently shared a story about parenting his daughter Lea – will be the executive producer for all projects under the deal.

‘Sharing stories that inspire, motivate and resonate is one of the reasons I started Lea Pictures, and I’m excited to team up with iHeartPodcasts to bring them to life for millions of listeners,’ Cooper, 48, said in a statement to Variety.

‘Our shows will feature real people telling real stories, and we knew iHeart was the perfect partner to reach as many people as possible. I look forward to dreaming up more extraordinary stories together,’ the statement continued.

The Good Stuff podcast, which launched on July 3, is the first project out of the gate in the new deal.

The podcast is hosted by Jacob Schick, a Marine Corp vet and CEO of One Tribe Foundation and his wife Ashley Schick.

The podcast is aimed at showcasing ‘individuals who have made a positive impact through their acts of kindness, successful careers, businesses and military service.’

One Tribe is dedicated to raising awareness and preventing suicide amongst veterans of the military, first responders and medical workers.

‘Bradley is one of the great creators of our time, inventing and reinventing, again and again, how great stories are told – across multiple genres and formats,’ Conal Byrne, CEO of iHeartMedia Audio Group said.

‘We could not be more proud and excited to introduce his expertise, vision and approach to the exploding podcast medium with this partnership.’

News of the deal comes after the Silver Linings Playbook actor spoke about parenting daughter Lea, six, during a video clip from an upcoming episode of Running Wild with Bear Grylls: The Challenge, which was shared by People.

‘I mean you learn from your predecessor’s mistakes and I’ll make tons that hopefully Lea will learn from and then being rigorous with myself to grow,’ he shared.

‘To help unburden her with any of my bulls**t,’ he added.

‘That’s one of the best things you can do for Lea, isn’t it?’ Grylls, 49, asked.

‘And for me,’ Cooper added. ‘It’s for me too. It just makes life much better.’

In the clip Cooper and Grylls were seen hanging off the side of a canyon in the Wyoming Basin as the actor shared that he wished his father – who passed away from lung cancer in 2011 – was still alive.
