Seven’s massive Blow Up: Network’s new quirky ‘balloon artist’ series brutally flops
Channel Seven‘s new reality show Blow Up has failed to win over fans.
The quirky competition where balloon artists challenge each other with exotic creations for a cash prize flopped in Monday’s over night ratings.
Hosted by comedians Stephen Curry and Becky Lucas, the premiere of the much hyped Blow Up scored a feeble 288,000 in the major centres.
Based on a Dutch format, Blow Up just scrapped in to the evening’s top 20 most watched show’s finishing at no. 19.
Meanwhile, the much loved soap Home and Away, also on Seven, continued its strong season, pulling a solid 473,000 metro viewers.

Over on Channel 10, Monday’s episode of MasterChef managed a strong metro rating of 552,000.

Seven, meanwhile, ran a very close second, managing to snare 25.1 per cent of the available audience.
Channel 10 finished third with an impressive 21.9 per cent of the audience, while the ABC came in fourth with 17.9 per cent.
