Demi Lovato SHOOTS DOWN rumors she is engaged to beau Jutes

Demi Lovato has shot down a round of internet rumors that she has gotten engaged to her musician boyfriend Jutes.

They have been dating for approximately a year and conjecture has been swirling online that wedding bells are in the offing.

But Demi, 30, fired up her Insta Stories over the weekend to put paid to the speculation, writing: ‘If I was engaged I’d announce it!!!!!’ 

However, lest anyone get the wrong idea about the state of her relationship, she showered affection on her beau.

The Still Alive songstress rhapsodized that she is ‘still obsessed’ with him and gushed that Jutes is her ‘fffffffavorite person and boyfriend!!!’

Demi’s clarification comes after she revealed that she had given up using ‘they/them’ pronouns because she got sick of having to explain herself to people.

She came out as nonbinary and revealed ‘they/them’ pronouns in 2021. Later, she readopted ‘she/her’ pronouns, using them in addition to ‘they/them.’  

In a new interview with GQ Hype Spain, she said: ‘I constantly had to educate people and explain why I identified with those pronouns. It was absolutely exhausting.’

The ex-Disney Channel star added: ‘I just got tired. But for that very reason I know that it is important to continue spreading the word.’

Demi’s beau, whose full name is Jordan Jutes, is on the wagon like she is and was a contributor to her rock-tinged latest album HOLY F***.

News of their relationship broke last August around the time of HOLY F***’s release, but a source dished then that they had been ‘secretly dating for months now.’

The insider informed E! News: ‘Demi and Jutes met while working on music together. Things are going really well and they have a lot in common. They bond over music.’

Jutes is said to have ‘restored her faith’ in romance after the former Disney Channel star ‘swore off dating for a while.’ ‘

The source described Demi as ‘definitely smitten,’ saying they ‘have been spending a lot of time together’ and adding: ‘Everyone thinks he is really good for her.’

By this April, Demi was gushing on CBS Mornings that she was ‘in a really good place’ to the point ‘I don’t know what I’m going to write about on my next album because I’m so happy. It is a really good feeling, but I don’t know what I’m going to do.’

Hinting that Jutes had a hand in her sunny disposition, she said her upcoming music would include ‘definitely a bunch of sappy love songs, for sure.’

Demi’s previous fiancé was the actor Max Ehrich, whom she began dating in March 2020 and went into lockdown with amid the coronavirus pandemic.

That July, Demi ecstatically revealed that and her smoldering beau were engaged – but just two months later their relationship fell apart.

She subsequently told Glamour: ‘When I started getting older, I started realizing how queer I really am. This past year I was engaged to a man, and when it didn’t work, I was like, This is a huge sign.’

Demi added: ‘I thought I was going to spend my life with someone. Now that I wasn’t going to, I felt this sense of relief that I could live my truth.’

At the time of the interview, which ran in March 2021, she felt incapable of dating a biological man because she was ‘too queer’ to do so.
