‘I keep forgetting how old I am!’: Holly Willoughby is treated to champagne and cake as she parties on This Morning ahead of her 42nd birthday
She’s set to turn 42 on Friday.
But Holly Willoughby started the celebrations early as she partied with her This Morning team on Thursday.
The presenter looked delighted as she was surprised with champagne and cake in the closing moments of the show.
After Loose Women‘s Charlene White wished Holly happy birthday, Phillip Schofiled feigned shock as he asked: ‘Oh my goodness is it your birthday?’
Beaming he added: ‘Thank goodness we saved a minute and a quarter [left on the show] for something up our sleeve,’ as balloons descended from the ceiling and the This Morning team walked out with glasses of champagne.

Juliet Sear then walked out with a homemade cake as Holly exclaimed: ‘That has got so much butter icing on it – which is what I love!’
As the whole team gathered to pass on their well wishes, Holly admitted: ‘I’m getting to that age now where I’m actually forgetting how old I am – 42 tomorrow.’
To which Phillip, 60, quipped: ‘Oh my heart bleeds for you!
‘Have a lovely day and a big celebration. Happy birthday, gorgeous!’
While Holly didn’t reveal her birthday plans she may pass on showing off her signature party trick.
On Monday, the presenter fell to the floor after attempting to throw her leg up in the air and land in the splits during the break.
She ended up collapsing to the floor instead after her knee gave way and burst into laughter.
The cameras still managed to catch everything however, and Phillip delighted in showing viewers at home the clip.

Holly and Phillip were discussing Alison Hammond’s star-studded birthday bash the weekend before, which Holly attended.
While regaling Phillip with the gossip from the party, Holly said: ‘There was one performance of the night where there was a dance troupe there and they did, what I’ve just discovered is called the death drop.
‘One leg goes up and then bang you land in the splits. I may have just tried to reenact it. I might have slipped.’
She explained: ‘I buckled under the weight. My knee went. It was quite an elegant fall, I didn’t show anything.’
Oops! While Holly didn’t reveal her birthday plans she may pass on showing off her signature party trick after she fell to the floor on Monday when she tried to demonstrate it
