The radio host, 44, indulged in some fish and chips with her new boyfriend Chevy Black and daughter Mae when she was seen covering up a wound.

While it’s unclear if she underwent surgery or suffered an injury, the skin coloured bandage was large enough to cover the side of her nose and a portion of cheek.

Nevertheless, the Claremont Murders star appeared content as she spent some quality time with her partner and child.

Garbed in a casual but matching outfit, the actor slipped into an earthy green T-shirt over cream slacks with a tan leather handbag and shoes.

She slicked her locks back into a tight bun before resting her sunglasses atop her head as she walked into the store.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Kate for comment on her bandage.

The sighting comes just weeks after Kate revealed her passion for acting was ‘reignited’ following her starring role in Channel Seven’s true-crime drama The Claremont Murders.

The Home And Away icon starred in the two-part mini series as Carol Spiers, a real-life Western Australian woman whose daughter Sarah went missing in Claremont in 1996 and has never been found.

‘Working on this project in Perth, being on set, surrounding myself with good people has undoubtedly reignited something in me,’ she told The West Australian.

‘The opportunity to work on this and watch it all come together has reminded me of many things. Most importantly of a passion that started long ago.’

Kate’s new gig marks her return to acting after a decade away from the craft.

She stars alongside a variety of veteran actors including fellow Home and Away star Ryan Johnson and Erik Thomson (Packed to the Rafters).
