Australian pop music royalty Kylie Minogue has been dropping major hints all week about a Las Vegas residency.

But on Friday, the Padam Padam singer, 55, took to Twitter to formally announce her upcoming shows with The Venetian Las Vegas.

‘VEGAS BABY! So excited to headline the all-new @VoltaireLV starting this fall. See you there! #MoreThanJustAResidency,’ referring to the all-new Voltaire venue housed within the Venetian.

Kylie will be joining an illustrious list of stars such as Cher, Celine Dion, and Britney Spears, who have all performed regular concert spectaculars in the glitzy casino city.

Fans immediately responded with an outpouring of enthusiasm.

‘PADAM’ multiple people tweeted in reply.

‘Congratulations Kylie, how awesome. Vegas won’t know what’s hit it,’ another fan remarked.

‘Best worst kept secret of all time,’ read another tweet, referring to the intense speculation surrounding the residency in the lead up to the official announcement.

Kylie previously took to social media on Thursday to share a video detailing a series of clues relating to Vegas.

The video, shared to Instagram and Twitter, begins with a recent interview on Watch What Happens Live, with host Andy Cohen asking Kylie a viewer question: ‘any plans for US tour or Vegas residency?’

With a cheeky smile, Kylie replies ‘very possibly.’

Overlaid on the video were tweets from fans enthusiastic about the possibility, with one comment saying ‘who is going to the Kylie Vegas residency with me.’

Another Minogue appreciator tweet featured in the video said, ‘oh I’m READY to give MOTHER Kylie my coins for a Vegas residency…Padam Padam and her many classics live? SIGN ME UP!’

The next clip in the video features Kylie saying ‘there is a song on my album called Vegas High and that’s all I’m saying,’ with Kelly Clarkson also referencing the track name in a short clip with Kylie backstage.

Fans in comments for the Instagram reel felt their hearts go padam padam, with one exclaiming ‘TAKE ALL MY MONEY’ and another saying ‘US just realising Kylie is a MF ICON!!’

Divas such as Céline Dion, Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez have earned big bucks from their own Las Vegas residencies.

Dion’s A New Day… residency at The Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace netted the Canadian songstress $565 between 2003 and 2007.

Spears’ Piece Of Me shows at Zappos Theater earned the pop star $201million between 2013 and 2017.

Despite packing out stadiums across Europe, Asia, and Australia for the past 20 years, Minogue still only enjoys a modest cult following in the States.

But this may be changing with the release of Padam Padam, the lead single on Kylie’s new album, Tension, soaring to unexpected success in America.

Jamie Nelson, SVP of U.K. Recordings at Minogue’s label BMG, confirmed to Variety recently that they were always ‘confident’ Padam Padam would do well, but admitted the song’s success has exceeded their expectations.

‘It’s now flipping into an area that’s unprecedented, not just for her, but for a lot of projects that have got so much history,’ he said, crediting TikTok and social media for the song’s viral success.

‘There’s a lot of heat and excitement about the record in America and we’ll continue to constantly build that story,’ he added.

Nelson also says that there are plenty more hits to be found on Tension, which drops in September.

Kylie addressed her chart comeback on social media recently, thanking fans for their support.

‘It has been an incredible week topped off by being my birthday today and I can’t thank you enough. My heart is bursting with joy so thank you so so much,’ she gushed.

‘What an incredible, another wild turn in my life and my career. Thank you so much for all of your love and support, everyone who has got onto Padam Padam and made this possible for me. I love you, thank you so so much.’
