Love Island’s Faye Winter has thanked fans for their support after she spoke about regrets of using lip filler and Botox following the shock of seeing herself on the show.
The reality TV star, 27, appeared on This Morning alongside Dr Amiee Vyas on Thursday to speak to Holly and Phil about getting her filler dissolved and the importance of getting treatments done by medical professionals.
And since that interview, she has thanked her fanbase by posting directly to her 1.2million followers on Instagram to share her gratitude for their kind words.

She penned: ‘My darlings, thank you all so much for the support and love you have shown me over the last couple of days, to talk about something that had such masses of opinion and is such a taboo subject was something I questioned doing, now I am so glad I’ve done it.
‘To have people constantly comment on your appearance does take adjusting to and I never felt like I was making the right decision but one thing I have learnt and want everyone to take on board is your body is exactly that… yours!
‘The choices you make are up to you entirely and if you want to make tweekments to help with your confidence who is anyone else to judge you on that.

‘I really just want to stress the importance of making sure you do anything cosmetic safely.
‘Things can go wrong, I’ve been there but if even one person thinks twice about where they are going to get these procedures done then everything I’ve been through had a purpose.
‘I want to personally thank @dr.motox for everything he has done for me and @lielle_mua for painting me face.’

She explained how the Botox she got done three months before the promo shoots for the show left her with droopy eyelids and such a ‘pressure’ in her forehead that made her feel like she was ‘constantly frowning’.
‘This was all happening when I was doing my promo shots for Love Island and I remember feeling very self-conscious about how I looked,’ Faye said.
‘I went to my last audition with my face taped up. I cried every time I looked in the mirror, and I didn’t actually know if I was going to be able to do the show because of how horrendous I felt.

‘That was the moment I said I am never going to somebody who is not medically trained. I’ve learned that they want the best for you. If somebody says, ‘no’, take their advice.’
During her interview on This Morning this week, Faye admitted her mum and dad had said her inflated pout made her look ‘silly’ before she made the changes.
And she urged any of her followers who were considering having facial ‘tweakments’ to seek a medical professional rather than just a beauty therapist.

Talking about having filler, Faye said: ‘The first time I got it done, the therapist got me through everything, gave me a week to decide if i wanted to get it done or not.
‘But every time after that I didn’t have guidance.’
She continued: ‘4½ ml is the most I had when I went into Love Island. I didn’t see it as a problem. I thought my lips looked great until I came out and saw myself from a different perspective.

‘I saw it like that for the first time rather than just looking in the mirror. My mum and dad told me they look a bit big and silly.’
And talking about having her fillers dissolved, she said: ”Instantly I could see them going down, I had smaller lips again, but I had very wrinkly lips.
‘I had to have 0.5ml put back in as there was no elasticity in my lips anymore. But this is the look I always wanted. This is the look I thought I had.
‘I only needed 0.5 – I needed a medically trained professional.’

Faye, who is rumoured to have split from her boyfriend Teddy Soares, also admitted that she tried Botox but that it went wrong.
She said: ‘It was the worst I’ve ever felt. My full forehead, it is a paralysing substance, temporarily.
‘If too much is put in, the muscle can get heavy and droop your forehead down
‘The doctor was saying they need to be medically qualified to do this because they shouldn’t be considered as beauty treatments, they are medical treatments.’
