Married At First Sight’s Jules and Cam reveal regrets over buying $3.65m Gold Coast holiday home: ‘We’ve bitten off more than we can chew’

Married At First Sight’s Jules Robinson and Cameron Merchant have become the golden couple of the dating franchise.

And with the multiple businesses and seemingly endless endorsement deals they’ve scored since finding fame in 2019, the couple have certainly cashed in on their romance.

Now Jules is admitting that overspent when it comes to building their real estate empire, after they splashed out $3.65million on a seven-bedroom Gold Coast home.

Shortly after they picked up the property, the Reserve Bank launched interest rate hikes, bringing the cash rate up 375 basis points in just one year.

‘We were like, “Oh my god, we’ve bitten off more than we can chew getting this property’,” Jules told the Daily Telegraph.

However the pair claim they have made peace with the purchase now after seeing how much the value of their property has increased.

The kitchen comes with a wine cellar and gas cooktop, in addition to an integrated Liebherr fridge, built-in microwave plus conventional and steam oven.

Jules and Cam currently live in Sydney’s northern beaches in a coastal pad that they bought for $1.8million in 2020.

They also have a smaller investment property in Dee Why’s Grand Reef complex, which Cam purchased in 2014 long before meeting Jules.

The couple met on the blockbuster sixth season of Married At First Sight in 2019.

They later got legally married and welcomed their first child together, a son named Oliver, in 2020.
