Nick Knowles and pal Mike Tindall were spotted as they hit the shops together in Santa Monica, California on Wednesday.
The unlikely pair, who are both patrons of the Rugby for Heroes charity and appeared in separate seasons of I’m A Celeb, appeared in great spirits as they strolled along the sun-soaked streets.
DIY SOS host Nick, 60, sported a bushy beard for the outing and wore a waxed jacket which he layered over a simple t-shirt.
Meanwhile former England Rugby player Mike, 44, donned a padded navy jacket and teamed it with a red sweater and blue denim jeans.
Both men started their excursion wearing their coats before slipping them off when the scorching temperatures rose.

They shopped for children’s shirts and also visited a womenswear shop, with Nick later emerging with a bag over his shoulder.
During Mike’s 2022 appearance on I’m A Celeb Nick took to social media to throw his support behind the sportsman.
Writing: ‘I’d really appreciate everyone who kindly supported me on to get behind @miketindall13. He is a patron with me of a veterans charity & helps many others He’s a top bloke & a really down-to-earth type I can only say this as he’s away & can’t read it.’
The charity works with the rugby community to raise funds & awareness for military personnel who are making the transition to civilian life.
It is unclear why the friends were in California or if they were joined by Mike’s wife Zara Phillips, 41, or Nick’s partner Katie Dadzie, 32.
The outing comes after Nick hit back at criticism of his relationship with his much younger girlfriend .
Last month, the Who Dares Wins host spoke to The Sun as he and Katie stepped out at the Inspiration Awards in London.
Speaking about hitting out at online trolling, he told the publication: ‘I’m protective of Katie, because people make assumptions about her without knowing anything about her, so that’s why I spoke.’

‘Normally I never comment back to the trolls, but on one occasion when people were a little bit judgmental, I was angry on Katie’s behalf.’
He added: ‘I get upset when they come for people that I care about.’
Nick previously told The Sun about being the target of trolls, saying: ‘I choose to be on TV. As a result, I expect the whole nine yards. I am up there as an object.
‘I’ve chosen to be on TV but my children, or my family, or people I date, for them I feel it’s unfair to have a go at them.’

Last year, Nick took to Twitter to point out to his critics that Katie was ‘wealthier and more successful’ than him.
He wrote: ‘[Katie] is wealthier & more successful than me and is intelligent and independent, unlike the abusive trolls attacking her. ‘What happened to #bekind?’
Katie runs two businesses, one called Boa Boa which sells lingerie and sex toys, and other called Boobbix which flogs ‘lactation products for breastfeeding mums’.
Nick, who split from his wife Jessica Rose Moor in 2016, made his first appearance with girlfriend Katie in September 2021, after ending his romance with PR guru Emily Hallinan, 27, in February 2020.
Nick and Katie made their public debut as a couple at a restaurant in Bath after being friends for several years.
