Ryan Phillippe flashes big smile after buying Powerball tickets ahead of $1billion jackpot draw

An estimated $1 billion jackpot is up for grabs in the next Powerball drawing.

Since no one matched all the white balls and red ball on Monday, ticket buyers will have another chance to strike it big in the next drawing on Wednesday night.

Actor Ryan Phillippe is hoping to be that big winner after he headed out to buy his tickets at a donut shoppe in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles.

He was spotted coming out of Tang’s Donuts and Coffee with a big smile on his face, just hours before the new numbers are drawn at 10:59 p.m. ET/ 7:59 p.m. PT.

With the jackpot at around $1 billion, the winner who chooses to take the one-time lump payout will take home $516. 8 million before taxes.

The Cruel Intentions star, 48, had his tickets in hand when he made his way out of the store and back to his parked vehicle.

The New Castle, Delaware native kept it casual in the fashion department dressed in tan jeans with a white t-shirt and white sneakers.

With the sun glaring down on another warm Southern California day, that saw temperatures hovering close to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in the Los Feliz area, Philippe also sports stylish sunglasses.

The father of three, two of which he shares with ex-wife Reese Witherspoon, appears to be feeling confident, from the looks of the big beaming smile he had the entire walk back to his car.

While no one matched all the numbers for Monday’s contest, three people did win $2 million after matching all five numbers plus the Power Play, lottery officials said, according to NPR.

The winning tickets were sold in Arkansas, Georgia and Texas.

Lottery officials are predicting their will be a surge in ticket sales leading up to Wednesday night’s drawing that will put it over $1 billion, which would be the third-largest in Powerball history and the seventh-highest in U.S. lottery history.

The highest Powerball jackpot was the $2.04 billion that was won last year, while the second-highest payout of $1.586 billion happened back in 2016, according to CBS News.
