Sophie Habboo shows off her 18k gold wedding ring as she makes her first appearance since marrying Made In Chelsea co-star Jamie Laing

The wedding ring was plain to see as newly married Sophie Habboo emerged for the first time since marrying Made In Chelsea co-star Jamie Laing over the weekend.

The TV personality joined Laing for a scooter ride through their native west London on Wednesday, and her 18k yellow gold ring from Delaval Knight was hard to miss as they navigated the busy streets together.

The pair exchanged rings at Chelsea Registry Office on Friday, with the date engraved inside the bands to mark the moment – but Jamie’s appeared to be missing during their first joint appearance since the big day.

Wearing a stylish varsity jacket and faded jeans, Sophie, 29, sat behind her husband, the lavish ring visible as she clutched onto his shoulders.

Meanwhile Jamie, who was making his second appearance since Friday’s ceremony, opted for a casual black bomber jacket and a pair of matching skinny jeans.

Jamie and Sophie revealed last year that they turned down offers to film their wedding for a Made In Chelsea special – just 11 months after the Strictly star quit the E4 series to save their romance.

In their first joint interview, the couple reveal they have decided against turning their nuptials, which will take place overseas next month, into a reality spinoff show.

The decision was settled upon because Jamie believes relationships have a better chance of surviving away from the cameras.

The Candy Kittens owner told MailOnline reality TV is ‘tough on the soul’ and after realising he wanted to marry former co-star Sophie he knew his departure from Made In Chelsea was inevitable.

Jamie revealed: ‘We got asked to do a TV show but it’s tricky. I have done reality for so long and it’s tough on the soul.

‘I don’t think TV is ever on your own terms so unless you have control over those things then it’s quite difficult.

‘It’s one of those things that you must decide whether you want to go down the reality TV route again or not.

‘Once you get married, what happens then? Do we do another show about being married… when does it end? For the moment I am parking reality.’

In agreement with her husband-to-be, Sophie added: ‘It is a day for us and our family and friends.’
