Things were made worse for Matt as guest Courtney Roulston from MasterChef had warned him to be careful of Monique’s top.

‘I’m so sorry,’ a blushing Matt said, before adding: ‘I am like an elite idiot.’

A behind the scenes video showed Matt trying to rescue the situation with some stain remover and a towel, even though his co-host had advised him that nothing ‘gets cherry out’.

Later Matt was seen trying to save face by suggesting that Monique could cover up the stain with the long tie on her outfit.

Admitting to Monique that ‘there was never a time when I was this sheepish,’ his co-host looked surprised, asking: ‘Why?’

‘What do you mean why?’ Matt shot back, ‘you’re terrifying!’

Monique and Matt, who are known for their playful on-air sparring, share regular co-hosting duties on Weekend Sunrise and are currently filling in for David Koch and Natalie Barr during the Christmas break.
