Taylor Swift fans endure real Cruel Summer as ticket sale system freezes again – leaving them bemoaning ‘ridiculous’ sales site
Taylor Swift fans scrambling for concert tickets are fuming after the ‘ridiculous’ sales site has paused the purchase queue.
The general sale for the popstar’s hotly anticipated Eras Tour began this morning, but just like during last week’s presale, the website seemingly couldn’t withstand the demand.
Swifties are blasting the AXS system after it failed to let unique access code holders into the waiting room and ‘paused the queue’.
Some who managed to get through the queue alleged the platform ‘flagged me as a bot’. Others said ‘there no seats available’.
As a precaution to prevent online sellers from crashing, fans were required to register their interest in the upcoming shows in June. Ticketmaster and AXS then awarded access codes to select fans for the sale.

The Eras tour is set to come across the pond in summer 2024. General sale tickets are going on sale in a staggered release this week and it already appears to be carnage.
Fans allege the queue on ticket-seller AXS was paused this morning as they tried to secure tickets.
‘This AXS system for Taylor Swift tickets is ridiculous. Can’t even get into the “waiting room”,’ one fan tweeted. ‘Who would have thought giving one company a monopoly on tickets which have literally hundreds of thousands of folk trying to buy them all at once would cause issues…’
The same fan later tweeted: ‘FINALLY in the queue after 44 minutes of error messages and “the queue is paused”. What shambles.’
Another fan added: ‘Access tickets for @taylorswift13 went on sale at 11 am. We got through at 11:02 they were already sold out.
‘I’ve seen content saying tickets had already been on sale prior to this. As a blind screen reader user and an inaccessible website. This really is so unfair.’
A fan who claimed to be fifth in the queue for the singer’s Edinburgh show claimed the online ticket reseller mistakenly believed he was a bot.
‘I got to number 5 in the queue for Taylor Swift tickets and now you think I’m a bot,’ he tweeted. ‘The link will not allow me to log back in to get into another queue.’
Another echoed: ‘I’m being flagged as a bot for refreshing too many times. Help me fix this before the 1pm sale for Taylor Swift please.’
Some fans say they managed to snag a ticket to the singer’s Wembley show, but only had the option to buy a VIP package – which range between £195 and £667 per ticket.
‘Wooooo I got a ticket to Taylor swift at Wembley! So happy!’ one wrote. ‘Had to buy a package but at least I got it!’
Another fan echoed: ‘Anyone else who got through the queue only seeing package options to buy? No standard tickets?’
Last Tuesday Ticketmaster crashed again in Paris after 1M Taylor Swift fans raced to website to buy concert tickets in pre-sale.
Ticketmaster in France announced sales for the Paris date had been ‘put on hold’ after people had not been able to log into the website with their passwords.
