Grow up! Today viewers left unimpressed as newsreader Brooke Boney, 35, bursts out in a fit of giggles after saying the word ‘Uranus’ on-air
Brooke Boney struggled to say the name of the planet ‘Uranus’ during a live broadcast on Monday.
The Today Show star, 35, erupted in a fit of the giggles as she read the news informing viewers of a ‘rare celestial event’.
Brooke rattled-off the names of five planets which will be aligned over the next two days: Jupiter, Mercury, Venus, Uranus and Mars.
However she lost her composure after reading the word ‘Uranus’.
Viewers were less amused, however, with one demanding Nine ‘get rid of that immature juvenile Boney’.

‘Get an adult to read the news and interview people,’ they added.
Another ranted, ‘Find someone [else] for this job. You make everything about you. And such a dirty mind on everything.’
‘Move on Brooke. Time to watch another news channel.’
However not all viewers were outraged, with several seemingly tickled by Brooke’s reaction.
‘Adults laughing at kids jokes makes me happy. The world is ok,’ one viewer wrote.
‘This was the best,’ another viewer wrote.
Brooke’s coworkers were also seemingly into the joke.
‘I don’t exactly know when Uranus will be stationed but it will be shining,’ Brooke added at the end of her report, which got laughs from Sarah and Karl.

Co-host Sarah Abo could be heard laughing as sports reporter Alex Cullen made his own joke before the sports report.
‘Uranus will be out there for all to see. Good old Uranus aye,’ Alex added.
It comes after there was a shake-up on Nine’s breakfast program in February when Boney took over Alex Cullen’s role as newsreader.
Alex stepped back to focus solely on sport.
While the network put out a statement backing Cullen as a key player in the show’s line-up, publications have reported otherwise.
New Idea magazine reported in March the changing roles had caused ‘tension’ between Cullen and Boney.
‘You can cut the air with a knife,’ a source told the magazine.
‘Alex returned from the Australian Open tennis coverage and Brooke was in his chair. [He] has copped it on the chin, but it has made everyone feel on edge.’
It comes after Brooke replaced Alex Cullen (pictured) as a newsreader on Today’s line-up, which has reportedly caused some controversy with the team
