Mykhailo Mudryk is one of several Chelsea players currently in Germany for Euro 2024.

And it looks like Mykhailo Mudryk is doing everything he can to have a successful tournament.

The winger was inconsistent in the 2023/24 season. He made 18 starts and 13 substitute appearances in the Premier League.

Across those games, Mudryk was only able to score five goals and register two assists.

Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy recently claimed that the 23-year-old plays with a bit of “fear” at Chelsea.

Mykhailo Mudryk focused on Euro 2024

After a difficult season at Chelsea, Mudryk’s full focus now looks to be on the Euros.

Journalist Ryan Taylor revealed in the Sunday Mirror (page 77, 23/06/2024) that Mudryk is currently turning down all requests for an interview as he aims to improve his performances.

Ukraine lost their first game at Euro 2024, losing 3-0 against Romania.

However, Mudryk was able to help them win their second match, a 2-1 win versus Slovakia.

It is now all to play for in Group E, with all four teams currently on three points.

Mykhailo Mudryk faces new threat at Chelsea

It is important that Mudryk keeps on improving and eventually finds some consistency at Chelsea.

He is already competing against Raheem Sterling for a place in the starting XI, and after the Blues’ failure to sign Michael Olise, he may soon have to deal with even more competition at Stamford Bridge.

According to The Telegraph, Chelsea will now look at right-footed options instead of another left-footed right winger like Olise after missing out on the 22-year-old.

The arrival of such an attacker would not be good news for Mudryk. He really needs to step up his game now or risk becoming a bit-part player under Enzo Maresca.

The fourth-most expensive signing in Chelsea’s history, that is not what the club will want. He was such a huge investment for them.
