Marc Guiu was a hot topic for discussion with Chelsea fans after he made his club debut in the 2-2 draw against Wrexham on Thursday.

Chelsea kickstarted their pre-season tour of the United States with an entertaining draw versus Wrexham.

For Enzo Maresca, he took charge of his first ever match as the Blues head coach.

Marc Guiu,18, wore Chelsea colours for the first time since his summer arrival from Barcelona. The young striker played the opening 45 minutes against Wrexham and caught the eye.

A report from Football.London claims that Chelsea think Guiu may be a £5m bargain.

Chelsea draw with Wrexham

Understandably, there was a lot of changes and opportunities during the opening friendly match of the summer.

First-half XI: Sanchez, James, Tosin, Badiashile, Colwill, Lavia, Chukwuemeka, Nkunku, Madueke, Guiu, George

Second-half XI: Bergstrom, Gusto, Acheampong, Fofana, Chilwell, Santos, Chukwuemeka, Ugochukwu, Sterling, Broja, Angelo

Christopher Nkunku powered in Chelsea’s first goal of pre-season during the first-half to make it 1-0 at the interval.

However, Wrexham equalised through Luke Bolton in the 58th minute against the much-changed Blues line-up. Jack Marriott even put the League One club 2-1 ahead with his goal.

Eventually, Lesley Ugochukwu got on the scoresheet with a tidy low finish to make it 2-2.
