Police have released footage of three men who are on the run after a hoon meet-up turned violent and police cars were damaged in Queensland’s south-east on the weekend.

A crowd of almost 400 people gathered on Bourke Street in Waterford West near Logan about 2pm on Saturday as some drivers allegedly performed dangerous stunts.

Multiple police officers were surrounded inside their vehicle as some attendees allegedly kicked and punched dents in the patrol car.

Three police vehicles were allegedly damaged while officers were inside.

The officers were not injured.

Police are hoping the public will be able to identify the three men they are searching for.

“Two men, aged 20 and 18-years-old, are already facing multiple property charges over the incident,” Queensland Police said in a statement.

It’s believed the crowd gathered to support YouTuber and rapper Spanian, who was visiting the area to showcase Logan.

Spanian, whose real name is Anthony Lees, spent a third of his life behind bars and now creates unfiltered short documentaries on Australian communities with high crime rates for social media.

Residents on the street were left unimpressed as traffic banked up and police blocked off the roads during the incident.
