Police now seek public assistance to identify the attackers.
Shortly after 9pm on June 29, 2023, it’s believed a group of four men forced their way into a home on Beckett Road at Donvale.
They confronted a 65-year-old woman and a 67-year-old man, holding them both at knife-point and assaulting them.
The attackers remained for about an hour, demanding access to a safe.
They stole multiple high-end jewellery and watches, including an Omega Seamaster Dynamic watch, a Cartier Tank Musk watch, a Jaeger LeCoultre 131/959 watch, a Jaeger LeCoultre Tribute Deep Seawatch watch, a Zenith Chronomaster watch, a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Submariner watch, a Rolex Milgauss GV watch, a Tudor Heritage Chronograph watch, a Panerai Radiomir Black seal watch, and a Panerai Luminor 390 watch.
Detectives now believe the victims were targeted mistakenly.
They seek public assistance to identify two males they believe can assist with their investigation.
The first male is perceived to be of Pacific Islander appearance, with a solid build, aged in his 20s, with facial hair.
The second male is perceived to be of Pacific Islander appearance, with a solid build, aged in his 20s with a tattoo across the front of his neck.
Police have also released images of a distinctive gold necklace and a number of the watches stolen.
