Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has now given an update on the fitness of Cole Palmer off the back of their damming defeat to Arsenal.
He told BBC Sport what the latest is on him returning to full fitness in time for Saturday’s game against Aston Villa.
Palmer missed his first game in quite a while last night, and his stock at the club will only have gone up based on the result.

Arsenal 5-0 Chelsea
Chelsea were defeated 5-0 by Arsenal at the Emirates, and the scoreline realistically could have been a lot worse if it wasn’t for goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic.
There has been a real reliance on the 21-year-old recently, however yesterday provided a chance for Pochettino’s players to step up and prove they had a bit more about them.
This didn’t end up being the case, and instead Chelsea fans were just left thinking about when he will return to full fitness again.
Pochettino provided an update on this after the game, with him stating that an assesment will take place today to see whether he can make the squad for Saturday.

Carney Chukwuemeka was an unused sub for the second game in a row, despite looking as if he was the perfect replacement ready to be brought in for the former Manchester City man.
