Emergency services responded to reports of a bagged body inside an abandoned car and officers are now trying to figure out how it came to be there.

The person who discovered the car told Courier Mail they believed the car was the same as one that had been reported as stolen on a local crime watch page.

‘The rear door was unclipped so I pull that open…on the left side there was a plastic crate wrapped in bags and tape…on the right-hand side was the potential of two hands and two feet, like they’ve been in water for a long time, white and wrinkly,’ they said.

‘You can see a stripy dress shirt on some sort of body… and a head of hair wrapped in clear plastic, and it’s covered in condensation like it’s in the fridge or freezer.’
