The victims of both attacks have been left terrified, and with the group still outstanding, the victims are worried they could strike again.
One victim said the home invasion gave his family the “shock of our life” after the group targeted homes in the southern Brisbane suburbs of Kuraby and Marsden.
Around 3pm in Kuraby, three masked teens were seen behind the wheel of a stolen Toyota.
CCTV footage from the minutes prior showed them outside a home. The group can be seen on camera waiting for the homeowner’s car to pass, leaving his wife home by herself as the group allegedly tried to open the front door.
The woman, who asked not to be named, said, “I ran up from the bedroom and I started screaming”.
“I saw them, like three guys were trying to open the door”.
She told 9News she heard banging on her door, before calling the police.
As she hid inside on the phone to police, the group bolted from the door, racing back to the allegedly stolen car.
The group then drove to their next target, Burrowes Street at Marsden.
Another camera captures the group bursting through Marsden resident Pranil Gosai’s front door, who described the intrusion as the “shock of our life”.
“The notification came on my phone that someone’s at the door,” he said.
“Next thing I know, within three minutes they were just running out of the house with our valuables”.
The group stole more than $25,000 in watches and valuables.
The owners are now so terrified they’ve boarded up the front door.
“It took them literally less than five seconds to enter the house,” he said.
“I was so disgusted when I entered”
“Lucky my wife and kids were not at home as well.”
All three of the alleged offenders remain at large.
