More than 30kg of methylamphetamine and $1 million in cash has been seized from a van in Melbourne’s north-west.
Police executed a search warrant on a Toyota HiAce van last Thursday parked on El Reno Crescent in Airport West after receiving reports of a suspicious vehicle.

A commercial quantity of cocaine, $1.1 million of cash and methylamphetamine were located inside a large purpose-built concealment in the rear tray.

Detective Acting Inspector Bradley Lawrence said the discovery was “incredibly significant”.

“We can only imagine how much damage these drugs would have caused if they hit the streets,” he said.

“We’ll now work to identify those involved and hold them accountable.”

Detectives are investigating and no arrests have been made.

Police are urging anyone with information about the vehicle, which is white and has interstate registration plates affixed, to come forward.
