ANNAPOLIS, Md. (TCD) — Police are investigating the “suspicious death” of a possible kidnapping victim whose body was reportedly found in a wooded area last week.

According to the Baltimore Police Department, on March 28, shortly before 1 a.m., officers responded to a report of a home invasion. At the scene, a woman told police two unidentified men forced entry into the house and demanded money. They reportedly said they had her son, 47-year-old David Winchester Jr., and would hurt him if the woman didn’t hand over the money. Police said the suspects fled the residence without the ransom.

On March 28, at around 8:30 a.m., officers with the Annapolis Police Department responded to a wooded area in the 900 block of Spa Road, where they found a deceased man, later identified as Winchester. The Annapolis Police Department notified Baltimore Police about the discovery, and they are working alongside in the investigation. Authorities have not named any suspects in the case.
