Spanish cops hunt fugitive Brit who stabbed his girlfriend after day out in Costa del Sol beach club

Police are hunting a British man who stabbed his girlfriend after a day out at a Costa del Sol beach club before fleeing the crime scene.
The 36-year-old, said to have several convictions for violent crime in the UK, allegedly knifed his partner during a row as they left the unnamed venue in Mijas Costa near Fuengirola by car.
The injured woman, who is also thought to be British, ended up by the side of the road following the incident at the start of the week.
Detectives are still trying to ascertain whether she was pushed out of the vehicle while it was still in motion or jumped out of the car to escape her aggressor.
She was treated in hospital for a leg injury and other injuries including cuts and bruises but has now been released.

The man police are hunting, who has been fully identified but has not yet been named by police, is believed to have left Spain via Gibraltar according to local reports.
It was not immediately clear today if an international warrant has been issued by a local court.
The Civil Guard is leading the search for the suspect.
Officers have not yet made any official comment but are expected to do so later today.
